Who We Are

Hotel Collection Bedding is an independent editorial site dedicated to one thing: helping you buy the exact bedding five-star hotels use, at home prices. We are not affiliated with any hotel chain, bedding brand, or retailer.

We started this site because every "best sheets" article online says the same generic things. Nobody was asking the obvious question: what do the hotels themselves actually buy? So we found out. We contacted suppliers, reviewed procurement specs, and mapped the exact materials, thread counts, and construction methods used by Four Seasons, Marriott, Westin, Hilton, and Ritz-Carlton.

How We Test & Evaluate

Our recommendations are based on three criteria:

  1. Material specifications. We compare product specs against verified hotel procurement data. If Four Seasons uses 300TC single-ply Supima percale, we evaluate consumer products against that benchmark.
  2. Construction quality. Weave type, ply count, finishing, and construction method (baffle-box vs box-stitch for comforters, percale vs sateen for sheets).
  3. Value relative to hotel grade. A $150 sheet set that matches a $300 hotel specification is a better recommendation than a $300 sheet set that matches the same spec.

Our Data Sources

Our hotel supplier data comes from publicly available hospitality industry documentation, supplier catalogs (Standard Textile, Sobel Westex, Frette, Pacific Coast), hotel "shop the stay" programs, and industry publications. Product specifications are verified against manufacturer listings and independent testing where available.
